Veterans Day Bell Ringing

On Friday, November 11, 2022 bells tolled across Minnesota in remembrance of the armistice that ended World War I in 1918. At the MN Liberty Bell, located on the state capital grounds in Saint Paul, people gathered to toll the bell and remember. Michelle Witte, executive director of the League of Women Voters Minnesota, gave a moving address and then led the tolling of the bell. Joining her was an ensemble of trumpet players of US military veterans who played a special arrangement of “America, the Beautiful.”
